I was approached by the fine people at LECPTA over this past summer to see if I was interested in creating this year’s cover art for their Lakewood Home Tour brochure. Loving all things Lakewood, I jumped at the chance. After brainstorming on ideas how we can portrait what it means and what it feels to live in Lakewood, from highlighting the nature that surrounds us, to White Rock Lake, to the monk parakeet, to the infamous and notorious coyotes, we settled on creating a piece of art that is quintessential Lakewood and put the idea of “home” front and center.
Below is the final rending. Based on one of the iconic and ubiquitous Hutsell houses on Lakewood blvd.
NOTE: I will be selling prints of this art work as a canvas print as well as 8×10 art prints. I will be donating part of the proceeds of each sale going towards LECPTA.
