Rendered in a refined pen-and-ink style, this illustration focuses on the soaring towers of La Sagrada Familia, allowing their intricate geometry and ornamentation to take center stage. 

La Sagrada Familia, located in Barcelona, Spain, was designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, who took over the project in 1883 and transformed it into one of the most ambitious architectural works in history. The basilica blends Gothic structure with Art Nouveau influences, drawing heavily from natural forms—trees, bones, and geometric growth patterns—which are reflected in the design of the towers.

Construction began in 1882 and continues to this day, funded largely by private donations and tourism. When completed, the church will feature 18 towers, each representing significant biblical figures: 12 apostles, 4 evangelists, the Virgin Mary, and the central, tallest tower dedicated to Jesus Christ, which will make it the tallest church in the world.

The towers themselves are not only architectural feats but also symbolic structures, designed to draw the eye—and the spirit—upward.
